Write first, decide later
The New note button sits at the bottom of the screen, within reach of your thumb, next to search. Tap it and you’re writing, with the keyboard up and nothing to fill in. There’s no title to type and no notebook to choose.

Titles that write themselves
You never have to name a note. Jotry names it after its first line, and on phones with an on-device language model (Gemini Nano on supported Android phones, Apple Intelligence on iPhone) it writes a short title for you. That happens entirely on your phone, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Tap the title to name a note yourself, and your title stays as you set it. Clear it to go back to an automatic one.
Share to Jotry from any app
Jotry is in your phone’s share sheet. Share text, a text file or a web page from another app and it becomes a new note.

- Web pages bring their title and their address and, when Jotry finds an article on the page, the article itself, with its headings, lists and links.
- Text and text files arrive as written, under the subject as a heading when there is one.
- Notes from other apps keep their lists and checklists, including the ones Apple Notes sends as plain text.
On Android the new note opens straight away. On iPhone it’s waiting for you the next time you open Jotry.
